Course Structure and Schedule for Levels 1, 2, and 3 

 

Greetings,

The course includes modules with many teaching and practice videos, power points, optional meditations, and extensive reading resources. 

You will meet once every two weeks (bi-weekly) for a facilitated group call. You will have weekly practice meetings with other participants in your group.

In addition to the course material, a regular Zoom Call with Gabor, Sat Dharam and Facilitators, a monthly Facilitated Workshop Zoom Call, and scheduled Guest Workshops are available (recorded, not required to attend live).

There are 8 modules in this year-long study, with each module being two weeks long. There are three levels, each level extending 16-20 weeks (or 4 months - you will go through the 8 modules 3 times).

Level One (First Cycle):  Self-Inquiry

  1. Establish safety in group and within oneself
  2. Build group connection
  3. Build connection to self
  4. Become familiar with materials and content
  5. Become familiar with forms and assessment tools (Case Study Form, video quizzes, competency forms)
  6. Learn to navigate website
  7. Become familiar with the Compassionate Inquiry Map
  8. Embody the Qualities of the Therapist in each module
  9. Begin the process of ongoing Self-inquiry
  10. Learn and practice Skills and Stepping Stones from each module in dyads/triads
  11. Process material arising from course content and in dyads/triads, with personal therapist
  12. Attend Monthly Facilitated Workshops, Guest Lectures
  13. Attend Zoom meetings with Gabor – submit questions
  14. Become engaged in international Facebook group, community and optional CI Focus Groups
Focus On:

 Level Two (Second Cycle):  Skill-Building

  1. Utilize Case Study forms in dyads/triads and/or with your clients
  2. Complete 16 Case Study Forms in Level 2; 9 in Level 3, totalling 25. Submit 5 Case Study Forms in Level 2
  3. Record 1 CI session where you are the therapist, to receive feedback midway in Level 2
  4. Internalize and utilize the Compassionate Inquiry Map with clients
  5. Become fluent in Skills and Stepping Stones from each module, using complete CI process with clients and peers
  6. Attend Monthly Facilitated Workshops, Monthly Discussion Groups, Guest Lectures
  7. Engage with the material further during any scheduled Zoom sessions with Gabor – submit questions
Focus On:
  • Listen to all Conversations with Gabor
  • Read pdfs of Conversations with Gabor, noting Qualities, Skills, Stepping Stones
  • Review videos of Practice section
  • Read pdf on Practice section for each Module
  • Review Gabor’s Teachings Summary with Sat Dharam
  • Review Practice Summary with Sat Dharam
  • Implement all CI Skills and Stepping Stones when appropriate in CI sessions – internalize CI Map
  • Watch Module Review video
Complete in Level 2:

  • Practice and Study Guide Questions for each Module
  • Case Studies – 5 due in Level 2
  • Cohort Video Review – in Level 2; can select a video for feedback in cohort group
  • Competency Form for each Module

 

Level Three (Third Cycle):  Integration and Mastery

  1. Develop a supportive, professional peer group
  2. Integrate module material and CI process within yourself
  3. Complete 20 more Case Study forms (25 in total: 13 from clients; 12 from peers)
  4. Demonstrate expertise in Skills and Stepping Stones
  5. Participate in the Monthly Facilitated Workshops, Monthly Discussion Groups, Guest Lectures
  6. Engage with the material further during any scheduled Zoom sessions with Gabor – submit questions
  7. Prepare for CI Mentorship Program if desired and qualified
Focus On:
  • Listen again to all Conversations with Gabor
  • Read pdfs of Conversations with Gabor, noting Qualities, Skills, Stepping Stones
  • Review videos of Practice section and Practice Summary with Sat Dharam
  • Review Competencies after each Dyad/Triad – fill out Competency Form for that Module
  • Improve Skills and be fluid with Stepping Stones in CI Sessions
Complete in Level 3:
  • Case Studies – 20 more due in Level 3
  • Practicum during biweekly meeting
  • Full Competency Form for Self
  • Dyad/Triad attendance sheet with 50 sessions as client and therapist
  • Course Feedback Form
  • Hand in log of personal monthly therapy sessions with your therapist
  • Sign CI Code of Ethics

 

Terms to Remember:

Online Facilitated Bi-Weekly Group = Between 12-18 people with one facilitator, meeting every two weeks, for 1.5 hours at a fixed scheduled time, which you select when you register for the training.

Pod = Group of approximately six participants, formed from within the bi-weekly group, who divide up into dyads and triads.

Dyad/Triad = A group of two or three people who practice together each week, at a flexible time that you decide among yourselves.
